Video produced inside an art gallery, shows the action of a window cleaner. The gesture involved in soaping the window reminds us of a pictorial gesture and shows the formation and transformation of the image. Through this marvelous action and the trace left by the soap, we can glimpse the concrete description of everyday life, street life. Through the partial transparency of the display case, the camera captures the action of the worker, in a performative act that questions the authorship of the work.
Vidéo réalisée depuis l’intérieur d’une galerie d’art qui montre l’action du laveur de carreaux. Le geste de savonnage de la vitre rappelle un geste pictural et montre la formation et la transformation de l’image. A travers cette action médusante et la trace laissée par le savon, nous pouvons entrevoir la description concrète du quotidien, la vie de la rue. Par la transparence partielle de la vitrine, la caméra capte l’action du travailleur, dans un acte performatif qui interroge la paternité de l’œuvre.
