The Devil’s Stone, 2022
The sun rises slowly on a mountainous terrain. Little by little, the ridge that we think we can guess, actually reveals a megalithic menhir. The first archaeological trace discovered in this region of Santa Pau in Catalonia, the Devil’s Stone sends us back 3,000 years before our era. By accompanying her with the sound of the sun recorded by NASA, Anna Malagrida multiplies the mystical force of this remains, cataclysmic also: the light reveals the image until it burns it entirely by its intensity.

El sol se eleva lentamente sobre un terreno montañoso. Poco a poco, la cresta que creemos intuir revela en realidad un menhir megalítico. Primer indicio arqueológico descubierto en esta región de Santa Pau, en Cataluña, la Piedra del Diablo nos remonta a 3.000 años antes de nuestra era. Acompañándola con el sonido del sol grabado por la NASA, Anna Malagrida multiplica la fuerza mística de este vestigio, también cataclísmico: la luz revela la imagen hasta quemarla por completo con su intensidad.
